01/17/2018 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VINDIOLA Approved 01/17/2018- Arrived on site again this afternoon and was able to get the manager and tenant together. Was allowed into the unit where it was noticed approx 2ft by 4ft cut out in the sheetrock in the kitchen, this is where the issue was. This happened due to bath tub overflow drain in upstair bathroom leaking into kitchen ceiling on 01/09/18. Management was called and restoration company came out same day about 5:00pm. This is when the cut out to sheetrock happened. Did not see anything wet to rafters or sheetrock today. Tenant was instructed not to use that upstairs bathtub for bathing however could use shower. Shower was tested and allowed to run for at least a minute with no issues of overflowing, drain being clogged or it leaking into the kitchen area at all today. Tenant had another bathroom on the first floor where he was instructed to use the shower in that area and claimed that he is now living with the girlfriend in her apartment where he has the capability of bathing rather than showering. Manager and tenant are going through the eviction process at this time but both agreed to work together to get this issue resolved. Manager was completely Cooperative in this manner and will be working to get his crews in there just as soon as they're available to make sure or replace the gasket to the Overflow as well as check the ceiling for wet spots and replace the sheetrock, texture and repaint ceiling in the kitchen. A 15-day notice will be given to the manager with a follow-up inspection done by the City of Tucson to verify the work
02/22/2018 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VINDIOLA Approved Arrived on-site building appeared to be vacant knock several times. Made a phone call to the manager Dustin who stated yes it was all completed allowed me to pier in through the sliding glass door where I did see the ceiling had been repaired.
