At least one window and all doors in living/sleeping rooms in dwelling units must have an operable release mechanism that allows safe and rapid egress without the use of separate tools.
09/02/2016 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

08/31/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VINDIOLA Approved Call: Commecial Fire at apartment complex Arrived on site for apartment fire unit P. Found carport damage to roof raft beams and posts. All electical in this area was damaged. Rear eaves were also burnt during fire whole roof system in these area was complete burnout. Moved into kitchen area to find large hole cut into roof during operations along with damage to sheetrock in this area. Wiring in light fixtures were blackened and needs to have electrican check entire electrical system. Living room with damage to sheetrock along ceiling area AC unit completely burned away. First bedroom no fire damage seen. Second bedroom no fire damage seen, however did have A/C unit in window in bedroom. No fire damage in bathroom. Because of the fire damage to the carport and kitchen area and a large hole in the roof the property will be condemned. Southwest Gas checked lines and pinned meter. Electricity was shut off at box. Met with management company on site along with tenant on site, they went through the eviction process and got a court order for 7 days to be moved out. Will move to notice of violation posting. Marcy asked we board the kitchen window and carport door along with fencing off the carport area by Biff Baker
11/21/2016 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VINDIOLA Approved Arrived on site to find fencing still in place, site was cleaned up and posts and beams set for carport area, they are under active permit # T16CM07449 will get with supervison on this case
