06/29/2016 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-11(c) ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. (1) All dwellings and dwelling units shall be provided with electrical service. Electrical facilities connected to or in any building or structure are to be maintained hazard-free and in a state of good repair. The electrical system shall be free from such hazards as bare wiring; overloaded circuits or services; equipment not properly grounded; over-fused circuits; misuse of wiring, including the use of extension cords in lieu of permanent wiring; non-approved wiring; and wiring exposed to moisture or extreme heat. Broken, loose, frayed, inoperable, defective or missing portions of the electrical service, lines, switches, outlets, fixtures and fixture coverings shall be repaired or replaced. (2) All electrical equipment, wiring and appliances shall be installed and maintained in a safe manner and in accordance with all applicable laws.

06/28/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VINDIOLA Approved fire at apt complex event # F161800160. Arrived on site, Inspector Goodman already made contact with manager. Arrived at unit where fire investigator walked us thru incident, 6 units on south side of complex shut by TFD at meters. Went to 2nd floor to unit 2402, fire was kitchen to the appliance of a electrical clothes dryer. Per fire investigator lent in appliance burnt as well as plastic flex tube vent from dryer. Both prongs to dryer and outlet appeared to be fine. Water covered the kitchen area to this unit from fire operation, 2 holes cut in ceiling by Fire Department in dinning area. Once secured checked to units on bottom of section no answer on one and second unit just below fire states heavy smoke smell but no damage seen to his unit. 2nd floor was where fire unit was, other unit next to it did not answer the door. 3rd floor no answer to both unit on 3rd floor. Isolated circuit for dryer and shut it down. Was able to energize the surrounding units, and spoke to manager to have a qualified electrical evaluate the system. Management has a crew on the way for clean up and water extraction. Will follow up on Weds
12/21/2016 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VINDIOLA Approved Called and spoke to manager of complex stage unit is still vacant and still dealing with the insurance company. Took my name and number and would call me once things get settled and they start moving forward with Rehabilitation of the unit. Will follow up and January 2017
