| 05/22/2015 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VIDAL | Approved | Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a restuarant fire. Arrived and the units were clearing the site and the arson investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire was near the main electrical system and burning the meter, CT can with transformers and the switch gear. The power was turned off at the transformer with the fuses popped by TEP near the street. The main structure is OK. The soffit in the rear of the building has holes where cut to check for fire to the roof. The soffit has plywood continuious. The water heater storage room door has been burned and will need to be replaced due to the heat damage. The sprinkler did go off in the water heater storage room and the system is off at this time. Did request that a fire watch be done until the sprinkler system is back on line. The contractor was called and not able to make contact with the service tech. Did meet with the owners and went over the fire watch and has to be kept until the system is back on line and the fire watch is strickly only for the fire watch and not working on the building. Did call communication to let know of the fire watch and will call when the sprinkler system is back on line. The owners gave permission to have the area secured due to not able to find any one to secure. Arcaiden Industries was called to the site and secured the water heater door with pins and a plywood placed over the opening to the fenced area to the burned electrical system. The Health Department was on site and going over what needs to be done with the food and what has to be thrown away. Did let the owner know that they can come into the building during the day to work on cleaning and finish moving the other food that can't be placed in the freezer or refrigerator at the other location. The owner did sign the paper work and once the security company Valley Protection Services came to the site for the fire watch I left the site. All the electrical work needs a permit for the replacement. Does need a permit for the new water heater. The fire appears to have started with storage and boxes that were in front of the electrical equipment. Will check in 10 days. RV. |

There is another permit for the building and plumbing T15CM04217 and that is lacking the building final and the health department to have the permit finaled. Did call the owner of the buisness and the contractor to let them know. The owner of the buisness stated that those belong to the property owner and he has been addressing those issues. Did talk to the contractor and will call the owner to check on getting those inspection finaled. Did go over the building final and the health department are lacking. Once those are done the case will be closed. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
