02/20/2015 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

02/19/2015 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT SMITH Approved Inspection found that a new roof was being added to the 2nd floor of the house, they are changeing the pitch of the roof as well. All work is being done without permit. Spoke to the owner and she stated that they are repalceing the old roof and putting a pitched roof to make more room and to have a better run off of rain. I explained that they need to have a permit do that type of work and that thye would have to stop all work until a permit has been issued. She stated she would have her husband get the permit. I gave her my card if he had any question.
12/30/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE SMITH Approved Work is still going on but no inspections have been done. Called and left a message for the owner to call me. Will check back at end of Jan 2016
