10/28/2014 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | GOODMAN | Approved | VISITED SITE, UPON ARRIVAL FOUND TFD HAD CLEARED THE SCENCE. MET WITH MAINTANENCE PERSON WHO EXPLAINED THAT THEY RESPONDED TO CALLS FROM THE TENANTS IN UNIT #1221. WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY FOUND THE SPRIKLER HEAD IN THE HALLWAY AREA POPPED OFF AND DUMPING WATER INTO THE UNIT, TENANTS HAD ALREADY CONTACTED TFD, THEY ARRIVED SHORTLY AFTER AND TURNED BOTH THE WATER AND ELECTRIC OFF TO UNITS 1221 AND 1211 OF COMPLEX 12. MAINTANENCE INFORMED ME THEY HAD STARTED EXTRACTING WATER RIGHT AWAY, CONTACTED TITAN RESTORATION WHO DOES ALL WATER EXTRACTIONS FOR THE COMPLEX AND ALSO CONTACTED CINTAS FIRE SPRINKER SYSTEMS. BOTH WERE IN ROUTE. MANAGER KAT BOSWELL WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND ON HER WAY. ONCE KAT ARRIVED SHE EXPLAINED THAT SHE HAD ALREADY SPOKE TO MAINTANENCE WHO SPOKE WITH TENANTS. UNITS ARE RENTED OUT BY THE ROOM AND NOE OF THE EIGHT TENANTS WANTED TO RELOCATE. KAT STATED THEY HAVE ABOUT SEVEN ROOMS AVAILABLE IF NEEDED BUT AT THIS POINT WILL GET BLOWERS IN EACH ROOM TO EXTRACT THE WATER. WATER FROM 1221 ALSO DUMPED INTO 1211. I CHECKED INTERIOR SUB PANELS BOTH UNITS AND APPEARED T BE FINE. I ALSO CHECKED INTERIOR LIGHTING AND OUTLETS BUT FOUND NO PROBLEMS. MY CONCERNS WERE WITH DRYWALL AND PERGO FLOORING AND AT THIS TIME NOTHING WAS BUCKLING. HOLES WERE PLACED IN THE DRYWALL WHERE WATER WAS FORMING UNDER THE PAINT. TITAN DID APPEAR WHILE ON SITE. WITH THE MAINTANENCE CREW WE RESTORED POWER AT THE MAIN SERVICE PANEL FOR BOTH UNITS. MAINTANENCE HAD REPAIRS AND PROCEEDURES IN CONTROL AND WORK WAS IN PROGRESS WHEN I ARRIVED. ** NOV WAS ISSUED TO MAKE ALL NECESSARY REPAIRS FOR DAMAGED DRYWALL AND FLOORING. EXPLAINED IF DRYWAL WAS PROPERLY DRY OUT THAT A PERMIT WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED. NOV SIGN FOR BY MANAGER KAT BOSWELL |
