| 03/18/2014 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | DCOX | Approved | I inspected the area and could not find any of the elements described by the complainant. The area directly behind or south of the screen wall for the shopping center appears to be private property. There are no definitive markings which would suggest the area is a "landscape" buffer. The elevation of the parking lot in the shopping center is significantly higher, approximately 6', than the private property to the south. I was unable to see any debris or trash and or dead vegetation. I did not attempt to traverse the south side of the screen wall as it appeared to be private property. I did however look over the wall in several places from the shopping center side and could not identify the complainant's allegations. I will check the approved building plans for actual property lines to get an accurate sense of boundries and then contact the complainant for further information and possible access to the area. |
| 10/06/2014 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | COX | Approved | The owner of the shopping center has obtained a copy of the original construction drawings however due to the process of reducing the documents for storage on microfilm the information is mostly obscured and illegible thereby leaving the question open as to what plants are specified in what locations according to the original plan. I conducted another physical inspection of the property on 10-02-14 to determine the actual number of plants, trees and other vegetation verses what is called out in specification per the landscape plan. The results of that inspection revealed approximately 5 times the amount of vegetation is currently present at the property verses what is called for in the plan. My findings have been forwarded to Michael Wyneken for review. |
