09/11/2012 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

THIS ROOM SIZE AREA IS HALF THE AWNING AREA, ESTIMATED OVER 200 SQUARE FEET. THE WALLS ARE APPEAR TO BE ATTACHED TO THE AWNING. THERE IS A METAL CLAD CABLE RUN ENTERING THE ENCLOSED ROOM FROM THE WEST SIDE OF THE ENCLOSURE. ALL WORK HAS BEEN DONE WITHOUT PERMITS.I COULD NOT GET INSIDE TO SEE ALL THE CONSTRUCTION BUT I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH TO DETERMINE THE WORK IS UNPERMITTED. THERE ARE NO PERMITS FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK.
11/20/2012 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE JVALDEZ Approved THE SIDES TO THE ADDITION WERE REMOVED. THE CIRCUIT THAT HAS BEEN EXTENDED STILL EXISTS AND IS IN USE. THE WIRING METHODS ARE UNAPPROVED. THE EXTERIOR JUNCTION BOX FASTENED TO THE MOBILE HOME DOES NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED PROTECTED COVER, THIS IS THE LOCATION WERE THE CIRCUIT CONTINUES BY MEANS OF METAL CLAD CABLE WHICH IS SECURED THE TO MOBILE HOME AND RUNS TO ANOTHER JUNCTION BOX THAT IS NOT PROPERLY FASTED THE MOBILE HOME, AT THIS LOCATION THERE IS NONMETALLIC-SHEATHED CABLE THAT IS BEING FEED FROM THE SECOND JUNCTION BOX RUNNING TO AN UNKNOWN SOURCE.
