09/30/2011 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.
09/30/2011 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-12(b)(3) ROOFS. The roof of every building or structure shall be maintained in a safe condition and shall provide weather protection for that building or structure. Roof coverings shall not be rotted, broken, split, buckled or otherwise deteriorated. T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-12(b) FOUNDATIONS, WALLS, ROOFS, AND CHIMNEYS. Every foundation, wall, roof, chimney and all exterior surfaces of buildings and structures shall be maintained in structurally sound condition and shall provide weather protection. All wood showing evidence of termite damage or decay, where structural or functional integrity is impaired, shall be replaced.

THE DRYWALL IS LOOSE AND HAS BUBBLES INCLUDING THE MASONRY WALL IN THAT CORNER. THE PAINT IS LOOSE AND PEELING. THE CARPET IS LOOSE AND OFF THE TACK STRIPS WHERE THEY ARE DRY ROTTED. THE BEDROOM HAS A LEAK IN THE CEILING BY THE CLOSET. I DID CHECK THE NEXT DOOR UNIT WHICH IS #6 AND ALSO HAS ROOF LEAKS. I DID GO ON THE ROOF AND CHECK THE COATING WHICH IS LACKING IN AREAS AND WORN. WHERE THE SCUPPER IS LOCATED IS WHERE THE UNIT HAS THE WATER COMMING FROM IN THE CEILING. BY THE FRONT AREA HAS CRACKING IN THE CANT STRIP ALONG THE PARAPET MASONRY WALL. THE ROOF HAS PONDING OF WATER IN THOSE AREA INCLUDING A PARAPET FACADE THAT WAS BUILT ON TOP OF THE EXISTING ROOF. THE PARAPET IS LACKING THE CRICKETS AND ALSO HAS WATER PONDING ALONG THE BACK SIDE OF THE WALL WHERE THE CRICKETS ARE LACKING. WILL LOOK FOR A PERMIT FOR THE WALL ADDED ON THE ROOF. WALL HAS STUCCO AND APPEARS TO BE WOOD FRAME. FACADE SPANS ON UNIT #6 & #8 AND FACES THE STREET. WILL DO N.O.V.
12/13/2011 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE RVIDAL Approved Permit finaled. ALL ISSUES HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED. VIOLATION ABATED, CLOSE CASE. RV.
