Description:
PDEQ recently received a dust complaint on this property and issued a NOV to the property owner for operating a crushing & screening operation without an air quality permit. We forwarded the complaint to Regional Flood Control because of the material being removed from the Valley View Wash on the west boarder of the property that feeds into the Rillito just south of the property. I spoke to a Bill Balak at COT Planning and Development and they appear to have a business license from 1983. I am guessing they have a letter of non-conformance to be able to operate this facility on a Residential Owner Occupied parcel. It appears from the aerial photo that they are encroaching on the strip of City of Tucson land to the north of the Pima County Flood Control fence and property.
