Description:

We responded to call #49569 at 6987 E. Golf Links Circle for a fire reported out. Upon our arrival we found an oven that was hard wired into the wall with no outlet. When the appliance failed it didn't set off the circuit breaker and the occupants told me that the landlord didn't have any smoke detectors in the residence.

08/26/2010 COMPL - INITIAL INSPECTION dgreenl1 Approved I was out there this afternoon. It is a row house or patio house (as opposed to a SFR). I make contact with Chassey Mosher, the resident. She told me that the stove has been repaired and the landlady (Amanda Corey, 730-8048) had an electrician come out and replace the outlet. I suspect it was done without permits as the only entry on Permits Plus is a weed violation in '08. She also supplied them with smoke detectors that they have installed. The fire code issues are corrected. Electrical matters referred to Anthony Smith, Electrical Code Inspector.
