TFC 703.1 - Maintenance The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, fire stops, shaft enclosures, partitions and floors) shall be maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit, wires, ducts, air transfer openings, and holes made for any reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of resisting the passage of smoke and fire. _____ Replace missing ceiling tile above walk-in cooler, East side. _____ Replace missing tiles around back room hood system duct work. TFC 315.2.1 - Ceiling clearance. Storage shall be maintained … a minimum of 18 inches below sprinkler head deflectors in sprinklered areas of buildings. _____ Above walk-in cooler TFC 107.1 - Maintenance of safeguards. Whenever or wherever any device, equipment, system, condition, arrangement, level of protection, or any other feature is required for compliance with the provisions of this code, or otherwise installed, such device, equipment, system, condition, arrangement, level of protection, or other feature shall thereafter be continuously maintained in accordance with this code and applicable referenced standards. _____ Repair/replace EXIT sign so that it does not point to right (dead end) 3003.5.3 - Securing compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks. Compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling caused by contact, vibration or seismic activity. _____ Secure CO2 tanks. TFC 906.2 - General requirements. Portable fire extinguishers shall be selected, installed and maintained in accordance with this section and NFPA 10. (Professional maintenance yearly, manual inspection monthly, affix a tag to the extinguisher with records of these activities.) _____ Have portable fire extinguishers serviced and tagged. TFC 904.11.6.4 - Extinguishing system service. Automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be serviced at least every 6 months and after activation of the system. Inspection shall be by qualified individuals, and a certificate of inspection shall be forwarded to the fire code official upon completion. _____ Have hood extinguishing system professionally serviced and provide a copy of the report. (Hood system service will not be required if range is no longer used and fuel supply is disconnected) TFC 904.11.6.3 - Cleaning. Hoods, grease-removal devices, fans, ducts and other appurtenances shall be cleaned at intervals necessary to prevent the accumulation of (dust). Cleanings shall be recorded, and records shall state the extent, time and date of cleaning. Such records shall be maintained on the premises. _____ Clean front hood system and keep records of periodic cleanings. TFC 605.7 - Appliances. Electrical appliances and fixtures shall be tested and listed in published reports of inspected electrical equipment by an approved agency and installed and maintained in accordance with all instructions included as part of such listing. TFC 605.8 - Electrical motors. Electrical motors shall be maintained free from excessive accumulations of oil, dirt, waste and debris. _____ Clean ice machine motor and housing, replace dust filter and replace motor housing cover.
