Cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. 03/23/2010 VIOL - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS JLONGO Correction Required 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. 906.6 Unobstructed and unobscured. Portable fire extinguishers shall not be obstructed or obscured from view. In rooms or areas in which visual obstruction cannot be completely avoided, means shall be provided to indicate the locations of extinguishers. 906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the hangers or brackets supplied. 03/23/2010 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS JLONGO Correction Required 1027.5 Illumination emergency power. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress: all Emergency lighting shall be functional and properly maintained in conjunction with IFC section 1027. _____ Fix, repair, or replace the emergency lighting unit(s) in order to meet code standards 1008.1.8.5 Unlatching. The unlatching of any door or leaf shall not require more than one operation. _____ The BASEMENT door secondary locking device shall be disabled or replaced to meet code standards. I.E. the lock shall release when twisted from the interior side. 1028.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. 1028.3 Obstructions. A means of egress shall be free from obstructions that would prevent its use. _____ Remove all obstructions hindering the use, the path, or the activity of all egress doors and be sure to always maintain a clear and obstruction free path to your exits.
