08/20/2009 VIOL - FIRE SERVICE FEATURES DSIWARSKI Violation IFC.510.1 Identification. Fire protection equipment shall be identified in an approved manner. Rooms containing controls for air-conditioning systems, sprinkler risers and valves, or other fire detection, suppression or control elements shall be identified for the use of the fire department. Approved signs required to identify fire protection equipment and equipment location, shall be constructed of durable materials, permanently installed and readily visible. ____Building 203 and the AC building require signs to identify the 'Riser Room'.
08/20/2009 VIOL - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS DSIWARSKI Violation IFC.901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. ____The five (5) year sprinkler system check valve test Blg 203 is required and due in thirty (30) days. Comment: The five (5) year sprinkler system check valve test for the AC Storage Building will be due in January 2010.

The face of an exit sign illuminated from an external source, shall have an intensity of not less than 5 foot-candles (54 lux). Internally illuminated signs shall provide equivalent luminance and be listed for the purpose. ___Two (2) Exit Signs in Blg 203 must be serviced repaired.
