06/08/2009 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS JLONGO Correction Required 1008.1.8.4 Bolt locks. Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted. _____ Remove the slide bolt from the the front rest room door, as bolt lock of any kind are not permitted 1008.1.8.5 Unlatching. The unlatching of any door or leaf shall not require more than one operation. _____ The secondary locking device shall be disabled or replaced to meet code standards. I.E. the lock shall release when twisted from the interior side on the doors located in the Kitchens rear exit door and in the 4 & 5 yr old room. 1028.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. 1028.3 Obstructions.
