02/27/2007 VIOL - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHIGGINB Approved a fire started in a deap fat fryer. The fire was knoted down with a extingusher by the employee. En 13 extingushed the fire with a hose line, and call for a fire inspector. IFC 901.6 Hood sys. must be maintained Hood sys. failed to operate with the links fused. Sys. must be serviced and place back in service. technison stated the co carrtige was punctured but did not fill the extingusher due to a blockage of the o-ring. The o-ring can block the discharge opening when the cartrige is srewed in to tight.
