| 08/02/2007 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | JORTA | Violation | VISITED THE SITE (8-1-07) AND COULD NOT find anyone at the residence (unit 1) I found a maintanance man at unit #2 and I was granted permission to check out the electrical services to unit #1 & 2. I found a "pigtail" and an extension cord partially exposed and partially underground at service #2, leading to unit #1. Even though the "pigtail" was not connected at the time of the inspection, all obvious observations do indicate that unit 1 was getting power from unit 2. The maintanance man removed the "pigtail" and I explained to him that it is illegal to supply power to a house in this manner. I left promising a f/u inspection and that I'll be calling the owner. As I was leaving, the maintanance man was speaking with the owner (Sharon, the name was overheard) . Photos in SIRE. The meter number to house #1 is XH-576593; The meter number to house #2 is XH-576640. A MALE "pigtailed cord connector" was terminated into a two pole breaker to plug in the 16 gauge extension cord. |
