12/13/2006 INSP - FULL EGRIFFIN Violation 1). In the front yard and back yards area area, there is en excessive amount of weeds, dried and over grown brush and trees, causing the exiting to be compromised for fire and rescue. This is in violation of IFC 304.1.2, which states: 304.1.2 Vegetation. Weeds, grass, vines or other growth that is capable of being ignited and endangering property, shall be cut down and removed by the owner or occupant of the premises. All weeds, dried brush, tree over growth shall be removed from premises. 2). Electrical extension cords shall be removed. Many are on the ground in a frayed condition. . IFC 605.5 3). In the front: There are many pieces of old furniture in different stages of dilapidation and deterioration. All these pieces shall be removed. IFC 301 4). Rear Yard: Old furniture in rear yard shall be removed also. There are many pieces. All shall be removed. IFC 304.1. 5). The fence to this property is in different stages of collapse. This is a safety hazard. This fence shall be replaced or removed. IFC 110.1.1 6). There is a vacant building in the back yard that is vacant, and unsecured and being used to store an assortment of litter and other combustible material. This is in violation of the following IFC 311.2.1 and 311.3 which states: 311.2.1 Security. Exterior openings and interior openings accessible to other tenants or unauthorized persons shall be boarded, locked, blocked or otherwise protected to prevent entry by unauthorized individuals. 311.3 Removal of combustibles. Persons owning, or in charge or control of, a vacant building or portion thereof, shall remove therefrom all accumulations of combustible materials, flammable or combustible waste or rubbish and shall securely lock or otherwise secure doors, windows and other openings to prevent entry by unauthorized persons. The premises shall be maintained clear of waste or hazardous materials. Exceptions: 1. Buildings or portions of buildings undergoing additions, alterations, repairs, or change of occupancy in accordance with the International Building Code, where waste is controlled and removed as required by Section 304. 2. Seasonally occupied buildings. All combustible material shall be removed from the back building. This building shall be secured to prevent unauthorized entry. 7). This heater has been condemned by TFD for the following reasons. Non service, deteriorating wiring and panels. The gas shall been locked by Southwest gas. Inspection of the appliance MUST be completed before service can begin again. IFC 110.1 8). Currently stove was used as heater. This must ceases. Stove was turned off. IFC 110.1 9). Currently no working smoke alarms are installed. This is a requirement for all sleeping quarters. IFC 901.6 10. Hole in living room ceiling shall be repaired. IFC 901.6 11). In the back yard there are many pieces of old scrap wood, shelving and assorted other combustibles scattered throughout. ALL of these described shall be removed. IFC 304.1
