Where a required fire protection official shall be notified immediately and, where required by the fire code official, the building shall either be evacuated or an approved fire watch shall be provided for all occupants left unprotected by the shut down until the fire protection system has been returned to service. Where utilized, fire watches shall be provided with at least one approved means for notification of the fire department and their only duty shall be to perform constant patrols of the protected premises and keep watch for fires system is out of service, the fire department and the fire code No required fire sprinkler system or fire alarm system shall be placed out of service for more than 8 hours in any 24 hour period without authorization by the fire code official. 1. Due to the fact that the fire system has a history of problems with false alarms a written standard for fire watch must created, and when requiered by a suppresssion captain to put into service. 2. Due to complexity of the fire alarm system a detailed plan must be created to assist the suppression captain in bring the system back into service. 3. All documents must be submitted to fire prevention for review and a copy will be placed on file at fire prevention. |
