THERE ALSO HAD BEEN SOME GRADING OR GRUBBING TO REMOVE VEGETATIONS AND DIRT AND ROCK WAS THEN STOCK PILED IN THAT AREA. THERE WERE ALSO FIFTH WHEEL TRAILERS PARKED ON THE WEST SECTION OF THE LOT. WE THEN DROVE TO THE EAST SECTION OF THE PROPERTY, (PROPERTY IS DIVIDED BY A FENCE) AND MET WITH THE SITE MANAGER WHO GAVE US HIS NAME AND THE OWNERS NAME AND CONTACT NUMBERS. I THEN CONTACTED RICK S. AT PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES DEPT AND SPOKE WITH HIM BRIEFLY OF OUR FINDINGS WHICH WERE MUCH IN LINE WITH PICTURES WE RECEIVED FROM DSD CONCERNING THE PROPERTY, I GAVE RICK THE OWNERS CONTACT INFO, RICK STATED HE WOULD MAKE CONTACT WITH THE OWNER AND LATER GET BACK WITH ME. WE ALSO FOUND A WELDING SET UP ON THE EAST SIDE MADE UP OF DOUBLE STACK METAL CONTAINERS, (16-20) STAGED IN A U SHAPE. THE SITE MANAGER STATED WELDING EQUIPMENT IS RUN OFF A GENERATOR, THERE IS NO ELECTRICAL TO THE SITE, AND THEY ARE PREPPING MATERIALS AND FIXING EQUIPMENT FOR A NEW COMMERCIAL PROJECT HE STATED THEY HOPED TO COMPLETE WITHIN TWO YEARS. THE OWNERS DO HAVE A LARGE WATER HOSE HOOKED UP DIRECTLY TO THE FIRE HYDRANT ON 34TH STREET AND RUN TO THE LOT. THERE IS ALSO A CONCRETE SLAB SURROUNDED BY THE CONTAINERS. LIKE THE EAST SIDE THERE ARE MULTIPLE TRUCKS AND TRAILERS, AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT BEING STORED ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE PROPERTY. WE QUESTIONED THE SITE MANAGER ABOUT THE TRAILERS AND HE STATED THEY ARE BEING USED BY SECURITY, WHICH WE CAN UNDERSTAND DUE TO THE AREA AND HOMELESS CAMPS AND ACTIVITY BUT THAT SITUATION MAY NEED TO BE LOOKED INTO. | |
