I had them unhook the electrical cord, and the septic line from the house. I also issued the property owner a Notice of Violation and a notice to vacate the R/V. I advised them to have the people living in the R/V to live inside of the property. They had multiple school aged children residing in the R/V. They explained to me their situation and I informed them of the violation and that they needed to vacate the R/V immediately. I also advised them that I would have the property monitored and would be back Monday to board up the R/V if they have not removed their personal items out and no one is living inside the R/V | |
| 11/21/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | In Violation | Inspector Bigman went to this property overnight on her on-call shift and observed the individuals still living inside of the R/V. I will be boarding the R/V by 11/27/2023 if the property owners are still residing in the R/V. I am issuing a Citation right now. The owners are husband and wife and are elderly, they are letting their son, daughter-in-law and their multiple school aged children to reside with them due to what they stated were "hard times" and the son lost his job and they have nowhere else to live. The owner and his wife informed me that they are trying to make room inside of the home and have been actively trying to resolve the situation by removing items from the home. The owners have asked me for some additional time to resolve the issue and because of the children I have given the owners until 11/27/23 to resolve the situation by removing items from the house in order to move the approximately 6 family members inside the home. The owners are aware of the severity of the problem and I explained to them that I will have the R/V boarded up. |
