11/21/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Inspector Bigman went to this property overnight on her on-call shift and observed the individuals still living inside of the R/V. I will be boarding the R/V by 11/27/2023 if the property owners are still residing in the R/V. I am issuing a Citation right now. The owners are husband and wife and are elderly, they are letting their son, daughter-in-law and their multiple school aged children to reside with them due to what they stated were "hard times" and the son lost his job and they have nowhere else to live. The owner and his wife informed me that they are trying to make room inside of the home and have been actively trying to resolve the situation by removing items from the home. The owners have asked me for some additional time to resolve the issue and because of the children I have given the owners until 11/27/23 to resolve the situation by removing items from the house in order to move the approximately 6 family members inside the home. The owners are aware of the severity of the problem and I explained to them that I will have the R/V boarded up.
12/07/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation On site with TPD Officer J. Davis. Officer Davis assisted me with serving the warrant to vacate the R/V. The owner has their two adult children and six grandchildren living inside of an R/V that is parked on the property in the front yard. The R/V was connected to the homes electricity and plumbing. Once I served the warrant and had the individuals vacate, I had the utilities disconnected from the R/V and posted to order to Do Not Occupy
