10/25/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 3RD FLOOR: Fire started in the attic of Wing E 3rd floor right above the Maintenance office next to building D. Most of the damage is in building D. The truss in the attic above the maintenance office was completely burned, electrical wiring burned, insulation burned, hvac and duct work burned water shut off due to electrical and water in close proximity. Dry wall, ceiling and flooring wet from the fire sprinklers. 3rd floor units 232, 233, 234, 235 shut down. 3ND FLOOR: Wing D water in ceiling area due to the fire sprinkler system. Units 236, 238, 240, 241, 239,237, 244, 246,242,243,245 shut down. Wing E 232, 233, 234. 2nd Floor Wing D:348, 340, 342,344,345,343,341,346,347, 348, 336,338, 339 Wing E: 337, 335, 334, Water leaking from the 3rd floor onto the floor below. Cleaning storage room unaffected. no water damage. Washing and Dryer room is flooded. Water and parts of the ceiling damaged from the water leaking. Electrical affected by the water. 1st floor: Wing D 127, 125,123,128,126,124,131,130,129 shut down due to flooding. Kitchen unaffected by the water. Electrician evaluated electrical in kitchen ok to turn back on. Contacted Pima County Health Dept to ck food prep area. Electrician with United to check each room in Wing E and will verify each room is good to go before turning on electricity back to units in Wing E. Unit D is completely shut down. Issued NOV to vacate Wing D and part of E closest to Wing D the affected area. Issued Permits required and Indemnification form. Posted Wing D and part of E. Walked the property with Administrators and requested they keep the residents out of the area completely. Administration state that approximately 16 rooms will be vacated and 6 rooms were vacant. Residents are being relocated to other facilities that Atria owns here in Tucson. Movers are coming in to help residents relocate. Fire Dept walked Maintenance Crew and Admin through to show how they are to do a fire watch.
