10/26/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Went to the site to check if other damage happened with drywall falling or ceiling tiles falling. All is working that was left on with the electrical and has no other damage. The area of the maintenance room has been cleaned and the electrical has been isolated and cut where burned. Did meet with the company doing the extraction and checking for humidity in the walls and ceiling. Testing is still being done and will have results by next week and will have a meeting on what is going to be done. Will be called if have to attend the meeting. RV.
10/27/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Met with the maintenance and the electrical contractor on site to check on what has been done to have the electrical turned back on. Did check the panels and all are dry, the damaged or burned wires have been cut and wires nuts placed incase the power is turned back on that circuit. The locks will be removed and than checked room by room on leaving the power on per floor. Did place the electrical back on to the laundry room on the 1st floor and the washer and the dryers were working and had to check up stairs on the 3rd floor where the ductwork was damaged and has to be connected to the exterior where the ductwork was damaged. The mechanical contractor was called while on site and will be connected by today. Left the site and the electrical contractor will continue to check each floor to be left on. The elevator was being called due to has not been checked and they will be in by today to check the pit and turning the elevator back on. RV.
11/02/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Had inspection on rooms that have been cleaned and checked for damage to the unit. Did walk the property with the maintenance crew, ACT who is doing the work on the damage for the restoration of the fire damage, the general manager, the electrician and was able to to turn some of the unit back on that no electrical. The units that were cleared to be moved back in, 129. 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 241, 240, 238, 239, 236, 237, 234, 346, 339, 338, 336, 337, 341, 340, 344, 342, 345, 343, and the elevator is back on and running. There is still some cleaning of the units and hallways and will be done before moving the people back into the units. The maintenance rooms on the 3rd and 2nd floor have the drywall removed and waiting to get the permits and start the repairs. The washer and dryers in the section are not being used at this time due to the ductwork is not connected and waiting to have the ductwork connected. They are washing and drying at another location. The wood baseboards are lacking in areas and will be installed soon. RV.
