10/03/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | 1210 PM - A City of Tucson ambulance struck arch of covered portico structure at entry of assisted living facility. Large portions of stucco removed, cracking. Ceiling under structure shows cracking where it meets wall of the arch. No electric or water in this area. Unable to determine if any structural members are cracked but is possible due to the area and wall is pushed back. It does not appear to be in danger of collapsing at this time. According to employees on site, this is the third time this has been struck in the past couple months. Maintenance Director on site has already started removing the loose plaster and stucco. Area is barricaded and caution taped off, will remain until all loose items can be removed and tarps or other objects can be attached to the damaged area to prevent debris from falling. Did issue notice for permits required for repairs and indemnification order to Maintenance Director on site. -VM | |
10/05/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | Passed | 244 PM - Met on site w/ Maintenance Director. Loose stucco has been removed. There are no cracked structural members visible at this time. Permits will still be required for repairs due to being a commercial property. Area does not have any loose plaster that would be likely to cause a hazard at this time. Will close case. -VM |
