| 08/26/2026 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | The generator cannot be confirmed s there was none running when I did an inspection. There was overgrown vegetation, trash and refue, and outdoor storage however. Additionally, and more importantly, the home does not have gas or electric. The residents indicated that there had been a fire 18 months ago cause by a gas stove. At that time the electric and gas were turned off. I explained to the tenants that they could not remain there if there was not utilities. They said they have not been successful in finding support to either clean the unit and restore power, or leave for other housing. the daughter who lives there with ehr mother indicated that there was also a health and safety in the form of a severe hoarding issue within the unit. I have provided the tenants 10 days to find alternative housing and secure lodging for their dog and any other pets on property. I explained that after that time I would return to condem the unit and board it up. | |
| 09/08/2026 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | In Violation | There ahs been no change at the proeprty. I have not boarded it up because the owner and her daughter (who is my primary point of contact) are no longer living in the unit but are allowed to come back during the day to work on becoming compliant. I have put a sticker on the door disallowing anyone from staying overnight. The owner and her daughter are aware of these expectations. I have left them a voice mail at 9:40 on 9/8/26 allowing for 60 days to resolve remaining code violations on the exterior of the parcel, if unresolved I will hire contractors to complete the work. |
