07/19/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation The office called that the house has no electrical and people living in the house. Arrived and checked through the alley and has extension cords connected to the riser and giving power to other extension cords. The person living in the house has done the same issues on 1304 E. Irvington and the same owner. T.P.D. was called to preserve the peace and T.E.P. was called to the site for tampering with the electrical. The electrical was removed on 4-27-23 for non payment and the electrical was on at the time of the inspection. T.E.P. was called and the wires were cut at the pole. The gas meter has been pinned and the water is on at this time and was just turned on 7-12-23. No one was on site and did to the posting of Do Not Enter and the N.O.V. to Vacate on the front window. Did knock on the doors and windows with no answer. There are dogs in the house and will have to check at a later time. The rear yard is starting to get cluttered. Will check on Friday. RV.
08/24/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Met with the friends of the tenant who has been placed in jail. They have a general power of attorney signed and has the seal by a Notary. Received a copy for the file and opened the door. Once the door was opened I left the site and advised that I will be back to close the door. Did come back and re-secured the doors. Will be back tomorrow. RV.
