07/25/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation The office called that T.P.D. on site with a vacant house with no electrical and the power is on. Arrived and the units are still on site. Was waiting to check if anyone will come out. Some came out from the rear of the house. It was Alex the owner of the property. He stated that no one in the house and the house was cleared by T.P.D. The electrical was on and found a wire that may be connected to the neighbors outlet and was back feeding the panel to give lights to the house. The AC window units were not operating at this time. The house was cleared and boarded up. The owner left the site with the dogs and called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the house secured on all the openings. Did the posting of Do Not Enter and the N.O.V. to Vacate for the second time on the front window. The electrical panel has one live wire and has a wire nut. Will check in 10 days. RV.
08/03/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Did go to the site and met with T.E.P. and did find a wire that is connected and had power with a voltage meter. The wire is going inside the house and has to be connected to one of the neighbors due to have common walls. The owner did not show and will have to meet with the owner to check if the electrical connection can be found. Did meet with both owners on both sides of the house and they allowed the for the electrical panels to be turned off and check if the wire has power. Did find a breaker on 1351 unit and located which breaker it was to be turned off. Did meet with the son in law and he was aware of the breaker being turned off by his choice. Leaving the breaker off turned off 2-outles and the son in law was going to get extension cords to give power to the water cooler and a radio on the table. Did call Alex and he will be coming to the site and will call when on site. T.P.D. did open a case for thief of a utility and the son in law will be doing the follow up. Will wait for call from Alex to check the interior. RV.
08/02/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Went to the site to open the front door to allow the owner into the house to gather some items. Did call for inspector SAM to meet at the site to assist on the property. The front door was opened and than closed once he completed gathering his items. While inside the unit did see some lights on and went to check the box and some wires have been connected. Not able to see where he is getting the power and will call T.E.P. to check if they can assist on locating the source. RV.
08/09/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Went back to re-secure the house. The owner was done taking items out. Will call when he wants to come back and will check on getting the inspection done. RV.
08/09/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Went to the site due to the owner wants to clean on the interior of the house to have the electrical turned back on. Did ask if the rear yard was cleaned where the electrical panel was located and said working on it. Did advise that area needs to be cleaned or will not be inspected. Went over on what needs to be done to have the inspection done. The owner gave permission to have the electrical checked if some connection was done to get power from next door. Was able to meet with the neighbor and he gave permission to have the breaker turned back on. Was able to find the outlet that was connected to the neighbors side the the outlet was removed to remove the power to the owner side. When done it also turned off the neighbor side. Told both owners that they need to make contact with an electrician to check on how they can connect the outlets to get power to the outlets to their own sides. Left the site and will be back in 3 to 4 hours. RV.
08/15/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Came to the site to meet with the son in law from the neighbors and he did not show. Did talk to the neighbor and was not aware of the son in law coming. The house is vacant and secured. RV.
08/23/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation The person renting the unit has been placed in jail. A friend has paperwork to remove the items in the unit that belong to the tenant. There was an incident with T.P.D. and Alex on taking the items out. No one from code was on site and the doors were opened by the people moving the items out. There was no call to be on the property to the office. The friend has a power of attorney copy and are asking to bring a copy tomorrow to open the doors to remove the items.
Talk to Blanca Garcia the wife of Ricardo Rodriguez who is moving the items into a Uhaul truck.
08/24/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Met with the friends of the tenant who has been placed in jail. They have a general power of attorney signed and has the seal by a Notary. Received a copy for the file and opened the door. Once the door was opened I left the site and advised that I will be back to close the door. Did come back and re-secured the doors. Will be back tomorrow. RV.
08/25/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Went to the site to open and close the doors to allow the tenants friends remove his items out of the house. There are still some items in the house and will not be coming back to remove and calling it trash and debris. While moving the items out of the house Alex did bring someone to look at the house to buy. The house was secured when leaving the site. Will do N.O.V. to have the property cleaned. RV.
08/30/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Went to the site to post the N.O.V. and secure the rear gate. The house is vacant and secured. Re-posted the Do Not Enter on the front door. RV.
11/13/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation The property is vacant and secured and has not been cleaned at this time. Will be getting bids to have the property cleaned. RV.
12/14/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Went to the site and the property has not been cleaned. The warrant has been issued for the clean up to be done tomorrow. The contractor will meet on site tomorrow to clean at 7:30 AM. RV.
12/15/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Passed No one on site when starting to clean the property. The warrant was posted on the front and rear doors. The property was cleaned and the gate was locked back up in the rear of the property. The neighbors were checking the property when completed. The tree in the rear has been cut and trimmed to clear the alley for the large truck to get through with out hitting the branches. Did try and call the son of the owner and was not able to locate. Will do the return warrant on Tuesday to close the case. RV.
12/19/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Completed The return warrant was signed and filed in the courts and the case closed. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
