06/10/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation NOTES PG 2/2: Floor 5: Unit 1527 sustained similar damage. There was standing water on the floor of the unit. Water was actively pouring out of the ceiling, light fixtures, and the HVAC system. Water caused damage to the walls of the unit and paint was bubbling and peeling. No water in the electric panel box. Unit 1526 had minimal water by the front door. Unit 1529 abutting 1527 had approximately 1 inch of standing water on the floor. Below the 5th floor, water was draining into the parking garage. Electrician on site recommended power be disconnected to Units 1727, 1627, 1527 and 1529. TEP disconnected meters at those units. Units 1727, 1627, 1527 and 1529 were condemned. Repairs are required under an Issued Permit with use of a licensed contractor for units 1727, 1627 and 1527. Unit 1529 electrical will need to be reviewed by a licensed electrician and any damage made by a licensed contractor under an Issued Permit prior to electrical reconnect. Property manager on site did sign notices and notice and order for all units. -VM
06/10/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation NOTES PG 1/2: Arrived and was informed by TFD that a fire sprinkler main line had ruptured in the attic space above Unit 1727. Tenant in Unit 1727 reported hearing a loud noise coming from the ceiling and almost immediately after water was pouring out of the ceiling. Property management had called back the same electrician who was on scene for the last pipe burst, and he was on scene upon my arrival. TEP was called to the scene and arrived shortly after my arrival. Floor 7: Water pooled in the hallway of the floor. Unit 1727 sustained extensive water damage. There was approximately one inch or more of standing water on the floor of the unit. Water was actively pouring out of the ceiling, junction boxes, light fixtures, and the HVAC system. Water caused damage to the walls of the unit and paint was bubbling and peeling. There was water found in the electrical panel and breakers and equipment were wet. Floor 6: Unit 1627 sustained similar extensive damage. There was standing water on the floor of the unit. Water was actively pouring out of the ceiling, light fixtures, and the HVAC system. Water caused damage to the walls of the unit and paint was bubbling and peeling. There was water found in the electrical panel and breakers and equipment were wet. Unit 1626 had water behind the door coming down from ceiling. No electric in this area. No water in the electric panel. Units 1625 and 1629 had no water. CONTINUED...
