04/21/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Completed ON SITE WITH INSPECTOR TIDWELL, TFD, TEP, TPD AND RESIDENTS. THERE WAS A FIRE TO THE ELECTRICAL UTILITY POLE IN THE ALLEY. THE FIRE SPREAD FROM THE SERVICE POLE TO THE DETACHED, DOUBLE CARPORT OF UNITS 2711 AND 2713. THE WOOD CARPORT SUSTAINED HEAVY FIRE DAMAGE TO THE FRAMING. INCLUDING THE ROOF, WOOD BEAMS AND ELECTRICAL. THE FIRE CONTINUED TO SPREAD FROM THE ELECTRICAL POLE SERVICE LINE TO THE EVE OF THE ATTACHED BLOCK AND STUCCO UNITS OF 2711 AND 2713. THE EXPOSED EXTERIOR WIRING AT THE EVES OF THE REAR OF THE UNITS, WAS DIRECTLY ABOVE THE SERVICE PANELS, OF BOTH UNITS 2711 AND 2713. THE EVE SHOWED. HEAT AND FIRE DAMAGE. THERE WAS POSSIBLE HEAT DAMAGE FROM THE FIRE TO THE WEATHER HEAD. THE SERVICE PANEL, WEATHER HEAD, EVES, ROOF LINE, AND GROUND WERE SATURATED WITH WATER. FROM TFD EFFORTS TO CONTROL THE FIRE. THE INTERIOR REAR BEDROOM OF UNIT 2713 HAD EXPOSED ROMEX THAT APPEARED TO BE MELTED IN SOME AREAS AS IT ENTERED THE DWELLING FROM THE EXTERIOR PANEL. THE POSSIBLY LEAD BASED, METAL, FRAMED WINDOW HAD A BROKEN PANE. THERE WAS DRYWALL DAMAGE TO THE CEILING OF THE BEDROOM OF UNIT 2713. UNIT 2713 AND 2711 ARE CONDEMNED DUE TO FIRE/HEAT AND WATER DAMAGE AT THE AREA OF THE SERVICE PANELS AND WEATHER HEAD. PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR REPAIRS.
04/24/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation On site w/Insp. Tidwell and Morales - Reinspection was requested. Met with resident to discuss reasons why the dwelling was condemned. Explained it was due to the amount of heat, fire and water damage and how it was in the vicinity of the service panels. Advised her to utilize her contractor to assist with the permitting process.
