Interior temperature is at about 68° in living area. Tenant states there is a leak in the walls behind the kitchen sink and the bathtub of the abutting bathroom. Had to turn off water heater to stop water from pouring into the home. Bricks are deteriorating at the west central portion of home, on the north end of the water heater room, tenant states this is due to ongoing water leaks. All facia eaves have no paint remaining leaving wood exposed to the elements. Did speak to property manager. She states a plumber is scheduled to work on the plumbing issues today and tenant is aware of that. Said she was not aware the heater was not working but will get it resolved. -VM | |

Returned and reinspected with property maintenance on site. Ran heater and system is operable, produces hot air. There is hot water available in bathroom and in kitchen. Did test smoke detectors in both bedrooms and in hallway. Two were operable and one was inoperable. Maintenance employee replaced it on site and new detector was tested and operable. All violations abated, close case. -VM |
