End Date Description Inspector Results Comments
01/10/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 258 PM - Flooring is peeling up by front door. Window hardware in living space is inoperable. With system set to heat, system produces cold air. Light fixture in kitchen has become detached and is hanging from ceiling. Carpet is loose, creating a tripping hazard at doorway to bedroom. There is a crack in the bathtub. Vent cover/grille detached from exhaust fan in the bathroom. Spoke with property manager on site and provided a copy of the above inspection results. -VM
01/30/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 206 PM - Received a call from the tenant stating the landlord never attempted to fix the hanging light fixture. Responded to property and made contact w/ resident (not the complainant) and property management on site. Light fixture was in fact repaired, as the side previously hanging down is now attached to the ceiling. However it is now hanging down from the other side. There is drywall damage and pieces of drywall hanging down where the screw for the light fixture is, appears the fixture may have been intentionally pulled down. The resident on site could not explain how this happened or why the tenant told me the management never attempted to fix it. The flooring by front door is no longer peeling or posing a tripping hazard. The carpet has been reattached to the floor and is no longer peeling up. The window in the living area is still in violation. -VM
