Several individuals are on the property and they told me that they scrap metal to earn money. There is also a tarp attached to the house that they explained is used for shading. I explained to them that is not authorized and I asked them to remove it. The owner pulled up ten minutes after my arrival and I explained to him the situation. I gave him my recommendations and my business card. He said that he would comply and I told him I would be sending him a notice to abate all the violations. I also asked him if he was doing work on the property and he said no. There are tools laying around and a particle board door that reads "shop" in red letters on it so I suspect this is where they are doing work. | |
| 04/28/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | Completed | On site with Inspector Vidal and Arcadia Landscaping to serve the warrant for cleanup. While waiting for TDP to arrive the owners brother was acting very irately and actually threatened to "shoot" myself, Inspector Vidal and the Arcadia crew because were there to clean the property. His sister who is the actual owner of the property, accepted the warrant and was being cooperative but her brother was not and did not stop acting wildly towards us. I contacted TPD to inform them of the threat made to us. We began to clean the property with the owners permission and during the cleaning process TPD arrived to assist us with calming down the brother. TPD told him to stay away from us and stay inside the property until we are done cleaning. TPD gave me a police report number which is P2304280059 that references the threats made to us. TPD cleared the property of the other individuals that were found sleeping in the shed and secured the rest of the property for us. |
