Provide additional documents as requested by review staff. STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Indicate the live and dead loads for the new addition on the drawings along with the designed wind loads and seismic requirements. The minimum designed wind speed is to be 115 mph per 3 second gust and the seismic category is B. 2. Indicate on the drawings that fireblocking will be installed to cut off both vertical and horizontal concealed draft openings between stories and attic or roof area. 2018 IRC R302.11 BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Provide a complete floor plan for the residence and indicate the areas to receive work. 2. Clarify the work to be done on the back porch. This area indicates it is existing however it appears that a new foundation is being constructed. The existing porch shows only posts however the floor plan indicates walls or partial height walls. Additional comments may be required once this information is received. 3. Update the valuation and description for the project to include all proposed work, not just the new walk-in closet. The drawings indicate work on the existing porch foundation as well as additional electrical. 4. There are many typographical errors on the drawings, please correct the drawings. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Indicate how the new closet will be heated on the drawings. 2018 IRC R303.10 as amended. ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS Denied 1. Indicate all exterior lighting will be installed in accordance with the 2012 City of Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code. 2. Provide a panel schedule for the electrical service and indicate the new circuits to be installed. 3. Clarify the outlet spacing on the drawings in the existing bedrooms, it appears that the spacing exceeds the maximum distance and the outlets shown may need to be adjusted. 2017 NEC 210.52(A)(1). 4. Indicate a smoke detector in the hallway outside of the bedrooms. Indicate a carbon monoxide director if there is an attached garage or if there is gas service to the house. 5. Note that all exterior outlets shall be GFCI protected and be provided with a weatherproof enclosure with “in-use” covers. 2017 NEC 406.8. 6. Note that a minimum of 90% of all lighting fixtures in the dwelling will contain high-efficacy lamps. 2018 IECC R404.1. 7. Note that all new or replaced 15- and 20-amp outlets shall be tamper proof type. 2017 NEC 210.52.
