1. Indicate on the drawings that all work will be done in accordance with the adopted codes of the City of Tucson/Pima county.
2. Show the overall width of the new addition, only the width is indicated. A minimum width of 7 feet is required.
3. Clarify if the existing footing is continuous or if there are only piers under the existing post supports. Clarify if there is an existing slab to remain or if this area is currently pavers.
4. Clarify if there will be existing sliding glass doors removed on both sides of the fireplace or only one. Indicate if the existing header is to remain.
5. Update the wall section “A” to indicate the new wall framing and the on center spacing, only a 2x6 plate is indicated. Clarify if there is an existing step down to the new area, and if so what is the height of the riser.
6. Clarify if there is an existing fresh air intake for the fireplace or any other intake/ exhaust venting that will need to be relocated due to the new enclosure.
7. Update the wall section “A” to show the new ceiling height of the new room. The elevations indicate an 8-foot height however it is unknown if that is to the top of the framing or bottom.
8. Provide a wall section or additional notes for the existing wall to be furred out and for the in filling for existing wrought iron door. Indicate a minimum of R13 insulation will be provided in this wall. 2018 IECC Table R402.1.2.
9. Indicate that the new sliding glass doors shall have a minimum U value of .40 and a SHGC value of .25. Note that the manufactures stickers shall be left on until inspection. 2018 IECC Table R402.1.2.
10. Indicate the existing porch roof structure will meet the minimum designed wind speed of 115 mph per 3 second gust and seismic category B as amended by the City of Tucson. 2018 IRC Table R301.2(1)

1. Provide an exterior outlet on the roof that is within 25’ of the new unit for servicing or indicate an existing outlet that is on the same level as the unit meets this requirement. 2017 NEC 210.63.
2. Note on the drawings that smoke detectors will be installed in the existing house. Smoke detectors shall be installed in each sleeping room, outside of each sleeping room in the immediate vicinity of the bedroom. 2018 IRC R314.2. Note on the drawings that all smoke detectors shall be interconnected so that the actuation of one alarm will activate all. 2018 IRC R314.4. Interconnected battery-operated detectors will meet this requirement per the exception.
3. Indicate the size of the electrical service (100 amp, 200 amp) and provide a panel schedule for the service indicating the new circuits to be installed.
4. Note that all exterior outlets shall be GFCI protected and be provided with a weatherproof enclosure with “in-use” covers. 2017 NEC 406.8.
