Structural steel, components and fasteners for the platforms are to be protected against corrosion in accordance with AISC 360 Section B.13 as indicated in IBC 2018 Section 2203.1. 2. Designer is to coordinate venting and drainage hole requirements for HSS tube members that are galvanized using the hot-dip galvanizing process. Provide for plugs as needed. AWS D-19.0 calls for welds on galvanized steel to be free of zinc. Field welds on galvanized parts requires the removal of the zinc coating in the area of weld. Provide zinc paint (approved by the galvanizer) and apply as required to the weld and steel area to provide protection. 1. Provide galvanized bolts on the roof platform framing connections. NOTE: Every effort has been made to identify the code violations. Any oversight by the review team shall not be considered an authority to violate, set aside, cancel or alter applicable codes or ordinances. The plan review and permit issuance shall not be considered a warranty or guarantee. The Structural Engineer is responsible for following ALL applicable Federal, State and local Municipal Codes and Ordinances. BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Sheet A021: The occupant load factors used for the business and mercantile occupancies are incorrect. Provided corrected occupant load calculations in accordance with Table 1004.5. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Conditionally Approved Approved/subject to field approval ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS Denied E601 EQUIPMENT AND LIGHT FIXTURE SCHEDULES: ACU-C conductors are undersized. VAV-18-01 conductors are undersized. E611 ELECTRICAL ONE-LINE DIAGRAM: 250-amp CB for RF-A is mismatched with 380-amp conductors. Per load schedule shown on E625, circuit breaker is too small. Need to size conductor for FLA * 1.25 and CB usually needs to be sized even larger. Confirm that design for transformer T-22 complies with NEC table 450.3(B). E625 PANELBOARD SCHEDULES: Investigate load on RR-A 250-amp CB as it may cause nuisance trips. Load calculation indicates nearly 300 amps on 250-amp Circuit Breaker. Also, should this be RF-A? Coordinate with E611. PLUMBING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied First Plumbing Review: 1). Starbucks mop sink # 15 Detail #3 needs to connect to the grease system. -IPC 1003.3.1 2). Add backflow info to keynote #14 on plan page P311 -IPC 608.17 3). Keynote symbol #18 is positioned next to a Potable cold water on detail #1 on plan page P411, but keynote symbol #18 correlates to a non-potable note on the same page.? -IPC 106.3.1 4). Plan page P411 detail #2 isn't clear where drain & non-potable lines 16 & 17 continue to? -IPC 106.3.1 5). Non-potable piping & non potable hose bibs installations on plan page P411 need to comply with sections within -IPC 609.9 ( not shown within spec manual) 6). Detail #7 on plan page P501 needs a check valve below the ball valve on the waste pump -IPC 712.2 7). The size of the discharge lines of the 2 waste pumps on plan pages P321 & P501 need to comply with -IPC 712.4.2 8).
