COMMENTS: the following comments are relative to an application for NPZ Review (UDC 5.10.3).

This site is located in the NR-1 zone (UDC 5.10.3). A single-family residence (SFR) is a permitted use in this zone (Table 4.8-2). See Use-Specific Standards 4.9.7.B.5 - 9. 10.

Prior to zoning approval an NPZ review and approval is required. Owner is proposing to construct n 18’ x25’ addition to the east side of the existing dwelling filling in an existing courtyard area. The property fronts on two local streets Hampton St and Martin Ave Structure meets setbacks and is considered to be facing the east property line.

Neighborhood Preservation Zone (NPZ) review is required and must be approved prior to approval of this building plan. NPZ application/requirements can be found at: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/integrated-planning/Special_Districts_Application_Revised_5-23-22_fillable.pdf, and is a separate submittal from the building plans submitted at: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/pdsd-filedrop, using Submission Type “Special Districts”.

Mechanical plan shows equipment associated with ductless mini-split system to be rated at 208 volts. System voltage is 120/240 per the electrical plan. NEC Section 110.4: The voltage considered shall be that at which the circuit operates. The voltage rating of electrical equipment shall not e less than the nominal voltage of a circuit to which it is connected. If the equipment is rated for both 208V/240V, please so state.
