Provide Structural Calculations for existing roof members to support new RTU’s and the RTU’s which are relocated at the roof per Section 1601.1 of International Building Code 2018. 2. All Calculations shall be sealed and signed by Professional Engineer registered with State of Arizona per Section 107.1 of International Building Code 2018. 3. Structural steel, components and fasteners for the canopies which are exposed to weather are to be protected against corrosion in accordance with AISC 360 Section B.13 as indicated in IBC 2018 Section 2203.1. 4. Designer is to coordinate venting and drainage hole requirements for HSS tube members that are galvanized using the hot-dip galvanizing process. Provide for plugs as needed. AWS D-19.0 calls for welds on galvanized steel to be free of zinc. Field welds on galvanized parts requires the removal of the zinc coating in the area of weld. Provide zinc paint (approved by the galvanizer) and apply as required to the weld and steel area to provide protection. 1. Provide galvanized bolts on the canopy framing connections. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. General: Provide a complete schedule of special inspections and required construction observations in accordance with Chapter 17 of the IBC. 2. The structural sheets indicate that wooden I joists are being used in framing. However, combustible materials are not permitted in Type II construction. Provide different framing materials that are permitted in Type II construction in accordance with Section 603. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Provide duct smoke detectors for relocated unit's ac units 8,9 and 11 over 5 ton (IMC2018,606.2.1) ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS Approved PLUMBING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied First Plumbing Review: 1). Plan page A4.1 needs to include Gutter & downspout sizing calculations. -IPC 1106.1, 1106.3, 1106.6 2). Plan page P1.3 or M1.4 need to illustrate gas water heater exhaust termination location. -IFGC 503.1 3).
