This site is in the R-2 zone (UDC 4.7.9). Multifamily development is a permitted use in this zone (Table 4.8-2).

1. Per UDC 3.3.3.G.2.b and .c, as you are proposing building or structure additions to residential development with three or more dwelling units on one lot, a Development Package (DP) is required to be submitted and approved prior to approval of this permit. At a minimum the DP shall meet the requirements of the Checklist for Minor Changes to Commercial/Industrial Sites found at https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/Minor_Changes_to_Commercial_Industrial_Sites_.pdf. The DP is a separate submittal and shall be submitted at https://docs.tucsonaz.gov/Forms/tucsonpermitapp, using Submission Type "Site Review."
