Provide additional documents as requested by review staff. STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied Please see review comments entered under "Building". BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Please provide a roof plan marked clearly with dimensions for all the code required fire access pathways and clearances around all the existing roof openings. 2. Provide a calculation for the area of the solar panels and provide a calculation for its percentage to the total roof area in support of what the fire-access pathways are provided above. 3. One of the document provided which lists various loads associated with the ballasted system lists various editions of the ASCE 7. The ASCE 7-16 is the current edition adopted in IBC 2018, so all reference for design purpose needs to be based on ASCE 7-16. 4. Provide structural design calculations to show that the proposed ballasted system is structurally adequate to resist the lateral loads associated with wind and seismic. These calculations need to be prepared, signed and sealed by a licensed engineer. 5. Provide structural details for the clip which attaches the module rack to the ballast rack system. This document needs to show structural adequacy of the proposed clip against wind and seismic design forces. 6. Provide a structural evaluation of the existing roof framing system to be able to sustain imposed loads by the proposed roof ballast system.
