Provide additional documents as requested by review staff. STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. The requirements in OSHA 1926.757 for the erection of open web steel joists are to be followed. Where steel joists are used with columns that are not framed in at least two directions with solid web structural steel members, a steel joist shall be field-bolted at the column to provide lateral stability to the column during erection. Where constructability does not allow a steel joist to be installed at the column the joists are to be stabilized on both sides of the column. 2. Except for steel joists that have been pre-assembled into panels, connections of individual steel joists to steel structures in bays 40 feet or more shall be fabricated to allow for field bolting during erection. 3. Provide a vertical stabilizer plate at columns for steel joist as required by OSHA 1926.757. 4. Verify OSHA steel erection standards for open web steel joists. Section 1926.757 (a)(8) requires connections of individual steel joists to steel structures in bays of 40 feet or more shall be fabricated to allow for field bolting during erection. 5. Show lines of bridging for the Roof Steel Joists. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. The site plan sheet A1.1 does not indicate any drop off area in front of the “future office“ main entry doors for the south entry. Clarify if a sidewalk to the road of drop of and loading of future personal will be provided including an accessible drop off location separate from the parking spaces. 2. Indicate stoops for all exit doors on the site plan, none are shown on the east side of the structure. Landings for exit doors shall comply with 2018 IBC 1010.1.6. 3. Provide sidewalks or other suitable material that meet the accessibility requirements to provide a connection from the exit door landings and sidewalks that connect back to the road without going through landscaped areas. The exit discharge shall provide a direct and unobstructed access to a public way. 2018 IBC 1028.5. Floor and ground surfaces shall be stable, firm and slip resistant. 4. Clarify if there are to be skylights installed for the project. The structural framing plan indicates to see the architectural drawings for number and locations, but none could be found. 5. Note on the drawings that construction documents for proposed fire apparatus access roads, location of fire lanes, security gates and construction documents and hydraulic calculations for the fire hydrant system shall be submitted to the fire department for review and approval prior to construction. 2018 IFC 501.3. 6. Provide reflected ceiling plans that show the location of the interior lighting including all emergency fixtures and general lighting. Sheet E3.1 and E3.2 indicate to see the architectural reflected celling plans however no reflected ceiling plans were provided. Only the exterior canopy lighting was show on sheet A3.2. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Provide mechanical plans so that a mechanical review can be conducted (IMC2018,106.3.1) ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS Denied 1. Sheet E6.2: For SES-BLDG-2, provide date calculation was performed for maximum available fault current. NEC 2017 110.24. 2. Sheet E6.2: For SES-BLDG-2, provide the method to reduce clearing time for overcurrent devices rated 1200A or higher for arc energy reduction at panel SWBD. 2017 NEC, 240.87 (B). 3. Sheet E6.2: Show compliance for branch circuits and feeders to comply with voltage drop requirements in 2018 IECC, C405.9. 4. Sheet E6.2: There are flag notes on the single line diagram, but there is no flag note table to show what the flag notes represent. 5. Sheet E6.2: General note F refers to fire pump installation, but no fire pump is shown on layout or feeders to fire pump. If fire pump is not in the scope of these documents, remove note. 6. Sheet E3.1: Illumination shall be provided for all working spaces about electrical panelboards installed indoors. There is no a lighting plan for the room housing LHP2, XMER P2 and HHP2. 2017 NEC, 110.26(D). PLUMBING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied First Plumbing Review: 1). Add storm piping materials to plan page Page P2.0- IPC 1102.1 2). Add notation to plan page P3.1 stating the roof drain & overflow conductor termination style- IPC 106.3.1 3).
