PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS
Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, please provide an updated complete plan set with a written response to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions.

SCOPE OF REVIEW:
The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2018 International Residential Code and 2018 International Energy Conservation Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
The City of Tucson adopted the 2018 IRC with amendments on 1/1/2019. Show the current code reference on the plans.

SITE PLAN:
1. Indicate the location of buildings and any utilities supporting or effecting the proposed structure.

FOUNDATION PLAN:
1. Dimension the footing length, width, and depth into undisturbed soil for each footing type and condition, R403.1. Show the minimum 12” reinforced footing depth below the undisturbed ground surface R403.1. Show rebar reinforcement with 3” clearance from earth, R403.1.3.5.3. Provide ½” anchor bolts with 7” embedment, R403.1.6.

FRAMING PLAN:
1. A special inspection request is required with the permit application for field welding, R109.2. Show manufactured assemblies without field welding or submit a privately acquired certified inspector request form for approval.

SECTIONS - DETAILS:
1. Show roof (uplift resistance) rafter fasteners (H2.5) with appropriate uplift capacity, R802.11 amended.
2. Show ledger fasteners with stucco removal between wall studs and ledger.
3. Show the rafters with bearing contact to a wall top plate structure with foundation, R502.6 & R802.6. Replace the rafter connection to fascia or provide a registered Arizona engineer design analysis with seal.
