04/19/2022 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. According to the cut sheet on detail 17/M400, the specified make up air unit supplies filtered but untempered air. The new equipment specifications (3/M100 and two other locations), however, calls for a pump and an automatic dump valve kit for the unit. Please clarify what is to be installed. Note: Evaporative cooling systems that do not include water recycling or reuse systems are prohibited by the Arizona Revised Statues, ARS 45-313. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
2. Based on the new equipment specifications (3/M100), MAU-1 will deliver 2500 CFM of outside air, unlike the cut sheet for the proposed hood which calls for only 1282 CFM to be delivered to the supply plenum. At 2500 CFM from MAU-1, the outside air and make-up airflow rates significantly exceed the exhaust airflow rates. Clarify the air balance for the building and show how over-pressurization of the building will be avoided. Reference: Section 501.4, IMC 2018.
3. Show the size of the round exhaust duct for the hood, H-1. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
04/19/2022 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Revise detail 16/P400 by relocating the water heater shut off valve and check valve to the cold water supply to the water heater so as not to allow the recirculation pump to force recirculated water to the cold water supply.
2. All interior waste piping upstream of the grease interceptor shall have a minimum slope of ΒΌ" per foot (2% slope), regardless of size. Reference: Section 704.1, IPC 2018.
3. Verify that all of the vents (except for vents serving interceptors located outdoors) rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally (e.g. the floor sinks). Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2018.
