1. 1. Provide the amount of CO2 used, and the method of protection, on a CO2 plan (IMC2018, 106.3.1)
RESPONSE: Bulk CO2 will be used. A gas detection system and alarm will be used AS the method of protection. See sheet M101 for the CO2 storage requirements. See note 28 on sheet M200.
A deferred Co2 plan and riser diagram shall be submitted (your notes on sheet m101 are inaccurate, stating that the alarms shall be initiated at 15,000 ppm for pre alarm and 30,000 ppm for evacuation alarm, the (IFC 2015,5307.5.2) states The threshold for activation of an alarm shall not exceed 5,000 parts per million (9,000 mg/m3 ) you will need to revise your plans in the code summary, to state that the Co2 plans will be a deferred submittal
2. You are exhausting 11,340 cfm from all 5 hoods, you are bringing in 9,250 cfm from the MAU, you need to bring in the kitchen approximately 2140 more outside air to the kitchen, if you are bringing in the additional air from the rooftop units, you need to state that, on the schedule, you need to state that those units, will be interlocked to the kitchen hoods that are supplying the additional outside air. (IMC2018,508.1)
RESPONSE: The additional makeup air required is being provided by the rooftop air conditioning units. A note to interlock the rooftop air conditioning units with the kitchen hoods exhaust fans has been added to the rooftop air conditioning unit schedule. See packaged air conditioning unit with gas heat schedule keynote 11, sheet M102. Complied

3). Now that a planter drain detail has been added to Plan page p301 a sand interceptor will be required to prevent soil from entering drainage system when water rises. -IPC 1003.1
4). The check valve chosen for the water cooled dishwasher drain connection does not meet the high hazard level. The dishwasher drain discharge could include leftover chemicals or bacteria from the dishwashing process. -IPC Table 608.1
5). Same- Chemical dispensers #451,#452 backflows on P101 need to be ASSE 1055 rated, the units selected are not. -IPC 608.14.8 ** add note to plan "provide air gap or ASSE 1055"**
