Provide additional documents as requested by review staff. STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. New Roof Top Units are being added on top of existing roof. Verify adequacy of existing Roof Structural Members to support these loads on top of Existing Loading. Submit Calculations justifying the adequacy. 2. All Calculations shall be sealed and signed by Professional Engineer registered with State of Arizona per Section 107.1 of International Building Code 2018. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Sheet G200: Provide clarification on the sq. ft. of the space. This page states that the gross sq. ft. of the building is 8,019 sq. ft. and based on the site plan located on Sheet G100, it appears that the proposed restaurant occupies around 2/3 of the space. Under the occupant load calculations the square footage is listed at 2,026 sq. ft. Based on this, the restaurant should be around 5,200 sq. ft. +/-. Is there 3,000 sq. ft. of space removed in the net calculations? Please provide clarification. Provide the gross sq. ft. of the proposed space. 2. Sheet G200: The door tags provided for the exit doors seem to be mislabeled according to the legend provided on this sheet. Provide correctly labeled door tags. 3. Sheet A130: 5% of dining surfaces used for the consumptions of food and drink is required to be accessible and adequately dispersed in accordance with Section 226.1 and 226.2 of the ADA Guidelines. It appears an inadequate amount of accessible seating is provided. Provide these calculations and disbursements in the construction documents. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Provide the the amount of CO2 used, and the method of protection, on a CO2 plan (IMC2018,106.3.1) 2. you are exhausting 11,340 cfm from all 5 hoods, you are bringing in 9,250 cfm from the MAU, you need to bring in the kitchen approximately 2140 more outside air to the kitchen, if you are bringing in the additional air from the rooftop units, you need to state that, on the schedule, you need to state that those units, will be interlocked to the kitchen hoods that are supplying the additional outside air (IMC2018,508.1) ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS Approved First Review: 1). Plan pages A300 & A301 need to include fixture spacing measurements. -IPC 404.2, 405.3.1 2). Ice maker, water Softener, AC Condensate, Water Heater condensate discharge can't be piped to a receptor(s) connected to the grease system. -IPC 1003.2, Update plan pages M200, P200, P300, P301 3). Add Planter drain & AAV detail to plan page P300 to show how the vent & drains will be located & protected within the planter assembly. -IPC A106.3.1, 1003.1 , 918.5 4). notate the type of check valve being used at the water connection of the dishwasher discharge tempering valve on plan page P-300. -IPC 608.14.8 5). Chemical dispensers #451,#452 backflows on P101 need to be ASSE 1055 rated, the units selected are not. -IPC 608.14.8 6). Hand sinks 208B & 406 need to be directly connected to drainage system. -IPC 802.1 -Updated plan pages P101, P200, P301 7). This comment refers to The gas radiant heaters on plan page P201 located in the patio area, the patio area appears to have the ability to be a closed area for weather protection. How will these Gas heaters be exhausted & how will the area be provided with combustion air? Plan page M402 detail #9 states the units have the connections to be exhausted mechanically.
