10/31/2021 RLEIGH1 UTILITY CLEARANCES COT STREETS DIVISION Needs Review
10/31/2021 ZELIN CANCHOLA DOT TRAFFIC REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Sheets 2-3: For Street A, recommend that typical section is revised to 11 foot travel lanes, and 7 foot buffered bike lanes (5+2) (WS4 stripe offset 2' from WS6 travel way edge stripe)

2. Sheet 11: It is hard to tell if the plan is calling for new sidewalk on the west side of Wilmot Rd, or for a newly designed access into the Shell driveway. As previously indicated during the rezoning process earlier in 2021, per Section 5.4 of the COT Access Management Guidelines, the nearest pavement edges of a driveway should be spaced at least 80 feet apart on an arterial, which would necessitate shared access between new public road (Street-A) and Shell southern access. We see that the plan calls for constructing a new driveway to Shell from Street A around 100 feet west of Wilmot in plan view. This driveway meets access management principles, but the existing Shell driveway on Wilmot needs to be closed off with the new road being constructed in close proximity.

3. Sheet 11: This sheet calls out Wilmot Rd improvements to occur under separate plan. Will those be constructed at a different time than the T21PI00011 plan improvements?

4. Sheets 26 & 27: Bottom left indicates "Horizontal Control Plan" instead of "Pavement Marking and Signing Plan"

5. Sheet 26 & 27: Please add Pavement Marking and Signing General Notes to the project plans - see attached example.

6. Sheet 26 & 27: Striping and signing keynotes should reflect updated standards - sheet numbers from 2020 PC/COT Signing and Pavement Marking Manual, which can be found at https://webcms.pima.gov/UserFiles/Servers/Server_6/File/Government/Transportation/Roadway%20Design/FINAL-Pima-County_City-of-Tucson-Signing-and-Pavement-Marking-Manual-2020-First-Edition_linking_nocomments-12_21.pdf

7. Sheet 27: For the 12 foot asphalt pathway, please stripe a YG4(3x9) centerline stripe

8. Sheet 27: Should sign at Sta 20+08.63 be an S1 callout instead of S2?
