Revise the developed length of the gas piping to include the vertical distance from the meter to the roof and from the roof to the gas manifold behind the appliances. The existing roof over the kitchen is approximately 10'-4" above grade. 2. The total gas load for the appliances shown in the sketch is 541,000 BTUH, not 521,000 BTUH. Based on a developed pipe length of 62-feet, the gas main must be at least 1-1/2" in size. 3. Verify that an ANSUL valve is present in the gas piping to the hood. 4. If this activity is for the initial installation of these gas appliances to the building and not a replacement of existing gas piping for existing appliances, complete drawings by an Arizona Registrant are required. Reference: Sections 107.1 and 107.2.1, IBC 2018. |
