09/21/2021 DAN SANTA CRUZ ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change Please address the following electrical plan review comments and provide a written response.

Due to the location of the PV tap onto the 200 amp sub panel feeder in the Hoffman box, there is now a total current potential of 300 amps imposed ( 200 amps from the service panel + (80 x 125%) 100 amps from the PV output ), both AC sources for a total of 300 amps on the 3/0 AWG feeder that feeds the 200 amp sub panel. The tap appears to be to far from the sub panel to apply the tap rules of NEC 240.21. Therefore in order to provide code compliance the feeder from the new Hoffman box to the 200 amp sub panel must be increased in size to 4- 350 Kcmil THWN-2, or install an OCPD at the tap location in order to provide over current protection for feeder and sub panel as required per NEC art 240.4 and 408.30, 408.31, 705.12(B)(2).
