09/14/2021 | ROBERT SHERRY | WATER | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Comment not resolved. The riser diagram on P3.5 and detail 6P4.1 still show a double check valve assembly located inside of the building while the civil utility plan C5.0 shows the location of the required reduced pressure backflow assembly by the water meter. First, do you really want to have both backflow assemblies and their pressure drops? Second, a development plan is not to be used for construction or modification of on-site utilities (e.g. water service to buildings, building sewers, site lighting, electrical service to buildings, etc.). The construction of the on-site utilities may be included with the permit for constructing the building or as a separate permit. If you are including the civil plan C5.0 with this permit, it may not be marked as "FOR REFERENCE ONLY" (a grading and paving permit is essentially a license to move dirt). [Initial comment: Reduced pressure backflow prevention assemblies are required to be installed directly after the water meter for buildings that have food service facilities and in locations accessible to Tucson Water. (See the development package, DP21-0029, for the actual location of the water meter and the reduced pressure backflow preventer.)
