2. Interior waste piping upstream of the grease interceptor shall have a minimum slope of ¼” per foot (2% slope). Reference: Section 704.1, IPC 2018.
3. Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole and the first-floor elevation. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 714.1, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson.

5. Hand sinks in the kitchen are allowed to connect to the sanitary waste system instead of the grease waste system only if each sink has a sign posted above it stating, “HANDWASH SINK ONLY! 04/29/2021 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. The mechanical plan shows high velocity diffusers for the make up air system in close proximity to the face of the Type I hoods. Verify that the location and type of make up air outlets complies with the hood manufacturer’s installation instructions and does not reduce the effectiveness of the exhaust system. Reference: Sections 304.1 and 508.1, IMC 2018.
2. The equipment submittals for the proposed Type I grease hood and supply air plenum show the equipment suspended from the overhead structure. Verify that the attachment method shown on detail 2/S1.0 complies with the manufacturer’s installation requirements. Reference: Section 304.1 and 507.2.4, IMC 2018.
3. Verify that the parapet height within ten feet of exhaust fan EF-1 is at least 42” above the walking surface of the roof or provide guards for the fan per Section 304.11, IMC 2018.
